Kelly Murdoch-Kitt is

weaves her background in interaction
and user experience design into the
Foundations curriculum. Her recent
pedagogic research collaborations
explore methods, tools, and benefits
of effective intercultural design
collaboration. She is also exploring
the impacts of integrating
sustainability challenges into
project-based design courses. She recently presented
research at the 2017 MODE Motion Design Education Summit
and the Association for the
Advancement of Sustainability in
Higher Education (AASHE)
Conference and Expo,
“Transforming Sustainability
Education.” Recent journal
publications include “Design Nexus:
integrating cross-cultural
learning experiences into graphic
design education” in Studies

Futures (co-authored with Prof.
Denielle Emans, 2014) and

Sustainability.” Kelly serves
on the national steering
committee for the AIGA Design Educator's
Community. She holds a
Master’s degree in Graphic Design
from North Carolina State
University’s School of Design.
