Portfolio: Social Responsibility & Sustainability Report
In collaboration with Celery
This report was an exciting development because it marked the first time this large medical supply company produced a solely digital report in lieu of print. In addition to saving physical materials and resources, the site reflects the drama of the printed page in its use of large background photography to achieve a “full bleed” effect. The site was constructed so as to progressively load content from the navigation downward, always giving visitors an opportunity to glimpse the complete background image.
The navigation structure centers around a phrase reflecting the company’s public-interest commitments. Selecting a destination from the list of navigation options completes the sentence. (“We are committed to society.”) The sentence-based navigation scheme lends sincerity to the topics within the report through visual and linguistic connections.
A PDF version of the report, made available through the site, translates the web-based content into a more traditional “magazine” feel.
